Johnny Casey

My name is John Casey. I’ve been “Johnny” since my parents realized the confusion of bestowing a fourth generation with a family name. (Personally, I didn’t like the idea that a commode is also called a “John”, whatever.)

I am currently attending the University of Texas at Dallas. I was first an Arts & Technology major, enticed by the thought of developing computer games, but last fall (2006) decided to also major in Computer Science as well. I plan to graduate sometime in fall 2008 or spring 2009, course load permitting. I transfered after attending the University of Chicago for two or so troubled years.

I work part-time for the Department of Computer Science as a Computer Tech. I also am currently working on a graphical AJAX interface with the biolingua group for their VPL software. I’m mostly responsible for the client side JavaScript and HTML.
